AD complex

Protons with 25 GeV/c momentum hit a copper target and produce antiproton-proton pairs (about 1 antiproton per million protons). The antiprotons are collected in the Antiproton Decelerator (AD), then cooled, decelerated, and extracted at 100 MeV/c . There will be four AD experiments, studying antihydrogen, antiprotonic atoms and nuclei.
